Target Breach & New Visa Cards

As you have likely heard by now, Target experienced unauthorized access to payment card data from their U.S. stores between November 27, 2013 and December 15, 2013. We were recently notified that as a result of the industry-wide card compromise and the recent weather issues around the country that the turnaround time for Visa card production has been extended. What this means for you is that due to the significant number of plastic cards being issued across the country, the normal processing time of 7-10 business days for a card order has been increased to more than 3 weeks.

 We understand that a situation like this creates stress and anxiety for our members and we apologize for the inconveniences this is causing. We have been doing everything we can to get all Visa cards delivered as soon as possible.

 Unfortunately, we have just been made aware of a delay with the reissues for cards expiring in the month of January 2014. Visa anticipates the cards will be mailed by Wednesday, January 29th. There is a possibility that you may not receive your new card before the current one expires and for that we are truly sorry. If we can be of any assistance to you during this very trying time, please let us know.

 For cards reissued due to the breach, we WILL NOT cancel the current cards before you receive the new ones. If you haven’t activated the new one before January 31st we will not cancel the current card.
